Once I had nothing to give my best friend for her birthday so I gave her a potato (we saw a movie later as my actual gift). My birthday just passed and after that we went on a trip for a week and when we got home there was a gift bag with a book. I was like “who is this from?” And I took out the book and under it there was a potato and I was like “yup, this was her.” and now I’m pretty sure we have a birthday tradition.
Update: Her bday just passed and I was at some French themed grocery store/ restaurant/ macaron bar and I texted her like, “Idaho or russet” and she said, “uh russet y” so I got her a ‘french’ NY russet potato in a macron box.
